SoundNOW Festival offers Atlantans a full week of contemporary classical music

Now in its 5th year, Atlanta’s SoundNOW Festival returns to present performances by 10 of Atlanta’s best new music ensembles coming together to showcase their music in an eight-concert series beginning this Sunday afternoon, March 27, running through April 3.

This 5th Anniversary celebration includes two additional events: a panel discussion on the Atlanta New Music Scene – Past, Present, and Future after the opening concert, and a post-concert party at Orpheus Brewing on Saturday.



The festival week promises a wildly eclectic mix of musical styles and chamber music experiences.

    This concert features compositions by the winners of the Atlanta Contemporary Ensemble 2020 Composition Competition. The composers will have their music performed to choreography by Corian Ellisor, while the art of Krista M. Jones is projected against the back of the stage.
