HOUSTON, Texas— The Houston Symphony has appointed Rolanda Gregory as its next chief marketing officer, effective January 5, 2026, the organization announced Tuesday.
Gregory joins the Symphony from the AT&T Performing Arts Center in Dallas, where she served as vice president of marketing. A Texas native, she brings experience spanning performing arts, professional sports, and entertainment marketing.
In her new role, Gregory will oversee the Symphony’s marketing, patron services, and communications operations, with responsibility for brand strategy and approximately $13 million in annual ticket sales. Her portfolio will include advertising, public relations, social media, creative services, branding, and marketing technology.
Before her tenure in Dallas, Gregory was vice president of marketing for the NBA’s Memphis Grizzlies and FedExForum, where she led brand, digital, and analytics strategy across multiple affiliated properties. Earlier in her career, she directed e-commerce and digital marketing systems at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment in Orlando and held a senior client services role at MangoMOBILE, an Omnicom Group company, where she worked on mobile marketing initiatives for national brands.
Houston Symphony executive director and CEO Gary Ginstling said Gregory’s background across multiple sectors would support the organization’s efforts to expand its audience and strengthen its public profile.
Gregory holds an MBA from Troy State University, a master’s degree in project management from the University of Texas, and a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Houston. She also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
Founded in 1913, the Houston Symphony is one of the oldest performing arts organizations in Texas. Under music director Juraj Valčuha, the Grammy Award–winning orchestra presents more than 150 concerts annually and maintains an extensive education and community engagement footprint throughout the Houston region.
