On Thursday, June 8th at 9:00 am, a Cello Masterclass will be held, featuring performances by students from AMP’s cello studio, with real-time feedback from Elliott himself. That evening, at 6:30 pm, Terrance McKnight, the well-known host of WQXR, New York’s classical music radio station, hosts a Fireside Chat with the Elliott that will delve into the cellist’s journey to prominence. Both events will take place at the AMP Center for Performance & Education.

On Friday, June 9th at 12:45 pm, a Mentorship and Q&A Session will provide AMP Summer Series musicians with the opportunity to learn from Sterling Elliott. He will share insights into his career and life as a professional cellist, while the attending musicians can ask questions to further their own musical aspirations.

The week’s festivities will reach their apex that same evening at 7:00 pm, with Sterling Elliott’s solo concerto performance of the Cello Concerto No. 1 in A Minor by Camille Saint-Saëns, accompanied by the AMP Summer Series Festival Orchestra, conducted by John Young Shik Concklin, at Sylvan Hills Middle School.

All events are free and open to the public, allowing music enthusiasts of all backgrounds to appreciate the talent of Sterling Elliott. Additional information, including program descriptions and reservation details, can be found on the Atlanta Music Project event calendar
