Atlanta, GA— The Atlanta Chamber Players have announced their lineup of concerts for the 2023/24 season, their 48th season of pioneering contributions to the chamber music genre.
Under the artistic directorship of pianist Elizabeth Pridgen, the mixed ensemble’s forthcoming season is poised to offer a diverse repertoire spanning multiple centuries and stylistic traditions. The ensemble has earned a reputation for showcasing timeless compositions from the classical canon while also exhibiting its innovative spirit by featuring contemporary classics composed by visionaries such as John Corigliano.
A notable hallmark of the ACP’s programming is its steadfast dedication to championing the works of contemporary American composers, underscoring their role as not just interpreters of music but as torchbearers, propelling the evolution of chamber music in the modern era. In particular, their involvement in the Rapido! 14-Day Composition Contest exemplifies the ensemble’s contributions to the enrichment of the classical repertoire while actively participating in the ongoing narrative of musical creativity.
