Spivey Hall announces 2024/25 concert season

MORROW, GA— Spivey Hall has unveiled its lineup for the 2024/25 season, featuring a diverse array of concerts set to captivate audiences. The renowned venue, celebrated for its exceptional acoustics and intimate ambiance, will host a series of performances by both established and emerging artists, with nine artists making their debut at Spivey Hall.

Highlighted events of Spivey Hall’s 34th Season include a season-opening celebration featuring pianist Daniil Trifonov performing pieces by Tchaikovsky, Chopin, and Barber. Renowned soprano Renée Fleming will grace the stage, presenting works from her recent album, “Voice of Nature: The Anthropocene,” accompanied by an original film from the National Geographic Society. Additionally, jazz legend Terence Blanchard and his Sextet will perform “A Tale of God’s Will: A Requiem for Katrina,” and Georgia-born mezzo-soprano Jamie Barton will premiere a new work by Joel Thompson.

Other notable performances include appearances by The King’s Singers, the Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, the Sullivan Fortner Trio, and rare U.S. performances by the Tetzlaff Quartet and pianist Pavel Kolesnikov. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will return for two performances, including a rendition of Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” led by ASO concertmaster David Coucheron.

Reflecting on the upcoming season, Spivey Hall executive and artistic director Katherine Lehman expressed excitement, stating, “We can’t wait to share Season 34 at Spivey Hall, as we welcome some of the most talented and sought-after artists in the world to our stage.”
