THIS WEEK ATLANTA upgrades to v2.0

Dear EarRelevant Readers:

I am pleased to announce that a new, data-driven THIS WEEK ATLANTA is now online.

This v2.0 of TWA may look much like v1.0, but it is functionally different, all programmed in-house.

Here are a few of the differences:

  • v1.0: written by hand, like a review or feature article
    v2.0: data-driven from information in a database
  • v1.0: posted weekly on Wednesdays, showing events for a fixed seven days
    v2.0: refreshes daily, showing upcoming events for seven days starting on the current day.
  • v1.0: event days are combined in a group for the week
    v2.0: each instance of an event has its own listing, so it doesn’t roll off the list prematurely or easily get overlooked

This is, of course, only the beginning of what you might call an overall v2.0 evolution for EarRelevant. More will take place over the summer before the new fall season begins.
