UGA Presents announces 2023-24 season

EarRelevant Staff | 26 MAY 2023

As we near Labor Day weekend, UGA Presents has announced its 2023-24 concert season. Atlantans know well the drive to the University of Georgia in Athens for Georgia Bulldogs football games, so going there for a concert would be a familiar day trip for many. The UGA campus is less than an hour and a half drive from in-town Atlanta and an even shorter commute if you live on the metro area’s east side.

The UGA Presents programming includes not only classical music but also concerts in other genres, as well as dance and theater. Hodgson Concert Hall and Ramsey Concert Hall are both located in the University of Georgia Performing Arts Center, while the UGA Fine Arts Building is home to the Fine Arts Theatre.

Running from September through May, multiple themes weave through the new season, designated the “Year of the Piano” in honor of the PAC’s new Hamburg Steinway concert grand. An array of diverse programming explores the sounds of America, including bluegrass, Americana, gospel, and popular music, plus a roster of established and emerging classical musicians. In addition to returning favorites, 18 artists will make their UGA Presents debuts.

Here is a chronological rundown of the season’s schedule:
