Emory Chamber Music Society of Atlanta unveils lineup for 31st season

Atlanta, GA— The Emory Chamber Music Society of Atlanta is gearing up for its 31st season, promising a series of more than 60 concerts, masterclasses, world premieres, and events, all of which will be accessible to the public at no cost. The organization, renowned as the Southeast’s largest and most dynamic chamber music entity, is set to commence its offerings in a matter of weeks.

Alongside an array of programs hosted across the Emory University campus and at the First Presbyterian Church, the ECMSA has forged collaborations with esteemed cultural institutions, including the High Museum, the Breman Museum, Fernbank Museum and Science Center, and Kai Lin Art. These partnerships will culminate in special concerts spanning various venues throughout the city.

A parade of distinguished artists will share the spotlight during this season. The lineup boasts the presence of the illustrious American flutist Ransom Wilson, the celebrated Juilliard String Quartet, the beloved humorist Garrison Keillor, Grammy award-winning cellist Zuill Bailey, and the uniquely brilliant classical/jazz pianist Matt Herskowitz. Furthermore, the ECMSA proudly hosts its Quartet in Residence program, a distinction held by the internationally acclaimed Vega String Quartet.

The season kicks off with a performance featuring legendary bluegrass multi-instrumentalist Mark O’Connor. This thrilling multi-genre presentation, titled “Bach & Bluegrass,” is scheduled to unfold at Emerson Concert Hall, inside the Schwartz Center at Emory University, on Saturday, September 9th.
