ATLANTA, Georgia— The Schwartz Center for Performing Arts at Emory University has announced the lineup for its 2025–2026 Candler Concert Series, featuring a diverse array of internationally renowned artists spanning classical, jazz, and contemporary music.
Headlining the season is legendary violinist Itzhak Perlman, who will present a special multimedia program on March 26, 2026. The evening will feature live performance alongside his longtime collaborator, pianist Rohan DeSilva, as well as rarely seen home movies and personal anecdotes from his decades-long career. Beloved for his virtuosity, warmth, and engaging presence, Perlman remains one of the most revered figures in classical music.
The season will also include performances by Icelandic pianist Víkingur Ólafsson, and the Grammy Award–winning Harlem Quartet with Cuban pianist and composer Aldo López-Gavilán. Other highlights include the return of organist Cameron Carpenter, the genre-defying ensemble Third Coast Percussion in collaboration with tabla virtuoso Salar Nader, and mezzo-soprano J’Nai Bridges performing alongside the Catalyst Quartet and pianist Terrence Wilson.
The Sphinx Virtuosi, an ensemble dedicated to promoting diversity in classical music, will take the stage with cellist Sterling Elliott in a program titled Visions of Peace. The Schwartz Artist-in-Residence program will also continue, offering lectures, demonstrations, and master classes to engage students and the community. The annual Emory Jazz Fest will return with the Gary Motley Trio and a soon-to-be-announced guest artist.
